Aircraft Mechanic Job Description

Job Summary:

HQ Aero Management Inc. is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to join our team. As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft.

Responsibilities:

  • Remove and reinstall aircraft interiors
  • Rig flight controls
  • Perform landing gear changes, repair, and modification
  • Conduct routine maintenance on aircraft
  • Operate in compliance with company safety practices

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A&P License is required
  • General Aircraft experience is 100 hours minimum
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Standard Aviation Tool Kit required
  • Criminal Background checks and Compliant with FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory

Essential Job Functions:

  • Proven technical and mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings and technical instructions
  • Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and with care and precision
  • Ability to understand and follow directions with general supervision
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and written
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to lift equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders, apply finger and hand dexterity in using hand tools, and be able to move around the shop/hangar area and within aircraft continuously throughout the workday
