Job Summary

The Bartender is a key member of our team at The Punk Rock Museum, responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and upholding high service and quality standards. As a Bartender, you will be the face of our brand, embodying our values and ensuring a safe and efficient environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service, delivering genuine and extraordinary experiences to our guests.
  • Prepare and serve drinks and food in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.
  • Display a professional and friendly demeanor at all times, maintaining a positive image of our brand.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our bar items, menu offerings, and promotions, providing expert recommendations to our guests.
  • Manage bar area supplies, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and performing opening and closing inventories of spirits.
  • Perform cash handling duties, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions.
  • Engage with guests, team members, and security personnel to address concerns and maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols, modeling safe work practices for others.
Requirements
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • At least one year of bar or restaurant experience.
  • At least one year of customer service experience.
  • Bartending personnel must attain and retain a Non-Gaming Sheriff's Card and an Alcohol Awareness Training Card (TAM Card).
  • Bartending personnel must also attain and retain a Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) Health Card.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least three years of bar or restaurant experience.
  • At least three years of customer service experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Punk Rock music and culture.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position works primarily in an indoor setting with exposure to noisy environments, dim lighting, and enclosed spaces. The physical demands of this role include prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying. The position requires repetitive motions and the ability to position or move objects up to 20 pounds. The ability to distinguish letters or symbols and utilize effective eye/hand coordination is also required.

Additional Requirements
  • This is a full-time position requiring a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, holidays, and music festivals. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
