Job Summary:
The Cashier will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service by efficiently managing monetary transactions at the point of sale. This position involves providing support to customers and maintaining the overall functionality of the store.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Welcome customers as they enter the store, ensuring a friendly atmosphere.
2. Operate the cash register with precision, utilizing the UPC scanner and other tools.
3. Process payments in various forms, including cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
4. Assist customers in finding products and answering inquiries regarding merchandise.
5. Maintain organized work areas, including transaction records.
6. Ensure accuracy in transactions by balancing the cash register at the start and end of shifts.
7. Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
8. Address customer complaints effectively, escalating to management when necessary.
9. Support inventory management by restocking shelves and maintaining cleanliness.
10. Participate in all required training sessions and store meetings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills.
- Effective verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and related equipment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Familiarity with company products and customer service policies.

Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Completion of on-the-job training, including positional training levels 1 and 2.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods while operating the cash register.
- Capability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks over extended periods.
