Your Responsibilities:

As a Medical Imaging Specialist at West Valley Hospital, you will:

  • Determine suitable radiation exposure parameters based on the patient's body area, physique, and condition, and perform X-ray examinations.
  • Evaluate your examinations for thoroughness and gather additional patient information or images as needed beyond standard protocols.
  • Exhibit expertise in utilizing PACS and radiology/hospital information systems.
  • Adhere to ALARA guidelines by following the Imaging Department's Radiation Safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate of Sciences from an accredited program, eligible for licensure by OBMI at the time of hire, and eligible for ARRT registration within six months of hire.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current Radiography Licensure through the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
  • ARRT Registration within six months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of hire.
