Mechanical Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our team at Insight Global. As a Mechanical Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed working diagrams, drawings, and computer models of mechanical devices, parts, and assemblies.

• Prepare complex drawings or computer models that include multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Work from sketches, computer models, and verbal information supplied by an engineer or designer to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments.
• Select required information from computer programs, and internet sites, precedents, manufacturers' catalogs, and technical guides.
• Independently resolve most of the problems encountered.
• Collaborate with supervisors or design originators to suggest methods of approach or provide advice on unusually difficult problems.

• Working knowledge of conventional drafting and Computer Aided Design (CAD) techniques.
• Ability to perform arithmetic computations using formulas.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
