Lifeguard Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Aquatic Safety Specialist to join our team at the Racine Unified School District Aquatic Center. As a key member of our aquatic safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all individuals using our facilities.

• Monitor activities in the swimming pool and promote safe swimming practices.
• Render emergency assistance to individuals in distress or difficulty.
• Administer first aid as required.
• Ensure all areas are clean and secure before leaving the pool.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Current up-to-date lifeguard certification.
• Ability to swim 300 yards continuously.
• Ability to tread water for 2 minutes without hands.
• Ability to retrieve a 10lb brick from the bottom of a 14-foot deep pool and swim it 25 yards without using hands in under 1 minute and 40 seconds.

• Red Cross Lifeguarding, first aid, CPR, and AED certifications.

Please note that candidates must be at least 15 years of age and meet the specified requirements.
