Position Overview
As a School Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience for students with special needs. You will assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living to develop individualized intervention plans. Your expertise will contribute to creating inclusive learning environments and promoting students' independence and participation in school activities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement in motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care tasks.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team.
- Provide direct therapy services to students both individually and in group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom environment.
- Monitor students' progress, adjust intervention plans as needed, and document all services provided.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
