Our headquarters is located in Bend, OR, and we require travel to various locations throughout the region.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paramedic to join our team as a Wildland Fire Medical Provider. As a member of our team, you will provide advanced life support medical care to our team members and the public in a wildland fire environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide ALS & BLS medical support to our team members and the public
  • Operate vehicles, including trucks, ATVs, and UTVs, safely and efficiently
  • Liaise with incident command staff, other agency personnel, and local fire assets in a courteous and professional manner
  • Complete incident, company, and patient paperwork accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain and secure narcotics and narcotic documentation as per SOG
  • Perform basic maintenance on equipment, including vehicles and line gear
  • Perform other work-related duties as directed by Team Lead/Supervisors/WL Manager
Requirements
  • Current state Paramedic license in good standing
  • Wildland Red Card
  • Current BLS/CPR and ACLS Certifications
  • Physically fit and capable of passing an arduous PT test (pack test)
  • Minimum 1-year extensive experience in emergency medicine OR wildland fire
  • S-130, S-190, L-180
  • ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700, IS-800
Preferred Qualifications
  • NREMT certification
  • Licensure in a Compact State
  • ATV/UTV Operator
  • Wildland FFT1
Benefits
  • Full day rates are paid for travel to/from the fire and the AdvMed headquarters in Bend, OR
  • Shifts will be a minimum of 16 hours while on assignment (providers are contracted to incidents as a 24-hour resource)
  • Uniform and equipment provided (wildland boots not provided)
