Hardware Engineer Opportunity

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join our team at a leading social networking company.

This individual will work with the Reality Labs organization, which focuses on developing next-generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality technologies.

The primary responsibility of a hardware engineer is to design, develop, and test computer hardware and related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze information to determine plan layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications.
  • Assemble and modify existing pieces of equipment to meet special needs.
  • Build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation.
  • Evaluate factors such as reporting formats required, cost constraints, and need for security restrictions to determine hardware configuration.
  • Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
Requirements:
  • Big Tech experience preferred, but not required.
  • Smart Glass Product Line or similar experience preferred, but not required.

Hands-on Power EE skills, including familiarity with lab test equipment such as high-speed oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data acquisition systems. Proficiency in Python for processing bench work data and MatLab for data analysis.
