Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at OSF HealthCare. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic procedures with minimal supervision, requiring independent judgment and technical expertise.
- Collect medical history from patients and answer questions regarding the imaging procedure.
- Operate imaging equipment proficiently and demonstrate knowledge of proper imaging techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine the need for additional images and confer on results.
- Provide excellent patient care and ensure a safe and comfortable imaging experience.
Requirements:
- Completion of a formal Radiography program with associated certificate or degree.
- Radiology License, Radiology Registration, and IEMA License in Radiography.
- American Heart Association (BLS) certification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with routine diagnostic procedures in General Radiology.
- Previous experience in customer service/patient experience setting.
