Position Summary: We are seeking an Orthotic Specialist who will also support Front Desk operations. This role is essential in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and measurements to determine patient needs.
- Provide education to patients regarding orthotic devices and compression therapy garments.
- Fulfill orders and perform fittings for both prefabricated and custom-fabricated products.
- Assist other practitioners with clinical and administrative tasks across various service lines.
- Deliver direct patient care in diverse settings, including care centers and clinics.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient health records.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in continuing education to stay updated on industry standards.
- Travel to various locations to provide patient care and educate referral sources.
- Manage financial transactions related to patient copayments and deductibles.
- Oversee inventory management, including shipping and order processing.
- Adhere to company pricing, coding, and billing standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in Orthotics/Prosthetics is preferred.
- Proficient in computer skills with a typing speed of at least 35 wpm.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Dependable and adaptable with a keen attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
