Welder Specialist

At Sterling Engineering Inc., we are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIG and Subarc welding techniques, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

The Welder Specialist will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on welding equipment, as well as programming, adjusting, and troubleshooting robotic welding systems to ensure optimal performance and quality.

The successful candidate will have excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on welding equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Program, adjust, and troubleshoot robotic welding systems to ensure optimal performance and quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to execute precise welds.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks on welded components to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and production team members to develop and improve welding processes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of welding experience, focusing on MIG and Subarc welding techniques.
• Previous experience with robotic welding systems or welding on vision systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in welding or a related field.
