Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Administrator to join our team at Apex Systems. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining computerized databases to support our organization's requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of database systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with management to develop database strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Work with users to resolve data conflicts and ensure appropriate data usage.
  • Administer and maintain database systems, including MS SQL Server and other DBMS.
  • Perform performance analysis, tuning, and index maintenance to optimize database functionality.
  • Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery features for MS SQL Server.
  • Verify and develop database backup, storage, and replication schemes to meet business requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with MSSQL Server 2012, 2017, and newer.
  • Experience identifying and resolving database problems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Service Manager.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized individual with ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
