We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team at STK Washington DC. As a key part of the guest experience, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas.

Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 per year (based on location and experience)

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team. You will be responsible for loading, running, and unloading the dish machine, maintaining its cleanliness, and reporting any functional or mechanical problems immediately.

You will also be responsible for monitoring the dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycles, washing and storing all tableware and kitchenware, and keeping the dish room clean and organized.

In addition, you will need to maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen, bag and haul dish room trash to the dumpster at designated times, handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss, and maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.

You will also be responsible for cleaning food preparation and production areas as required, ensuring all TOG quality standards are maintained consistently, and making sure the entire kitchen is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.

As a Kitchen Porter, you will assist other kitchen staff with cleaning, cooking, prepping, and receiving when needed, and be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
