Medical Laboratory Specialist

Avera Granite Falls is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine clinical laboratory tests and basic clinical laboratory functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expeditious and accurate performance of routine clinical laboratory tests and basic clinical laboratory functions
- Direct patient contact in the hospital and clinic with adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
- Gain valuable experience with multiple areas of expertise: Phlebotomy, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, and Serology

Requirements:
- Associate's degree (or higher) in MLT required upon hire
- Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician from the ASCP or AMT required within 12 months of hire
Work Schedule:
- Varied shifts, 80 hours every 2 weeks
- Occasional weekend and holiday shifts
Pay:
The hourly range for this position is $31.75 per hour, with actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
