Job Summary:
Transdev is seeking a skilled Bus Driver to join our team. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers throughout the service area, ensuring a reliable and efficient transportation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a transit bus in a safe and courteous manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Load and unload passengers, including those with mobility aids, and assist with boarding and securing wheelchairs and scooters.
- Notify dispatch of any deviations, accidents, or mechanical issues, and complete written reports as necessary.
- Operate on-board computer fare boxes and destination signs, and advise passengers of rules and regulations.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
- Possess a Commercial Learners Permit (at minimum), valid CDL with passenger and air brake endorsement preferred.
- Have at least 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional) and no more than two moving violations in the past 3 years on driving record.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work shift hours and days assigned.
