Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Technician to join our Electrophysiology Laboratory team at UC Davis Health System. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating technical equipment, assisting physicians during complex procedures, and providing pre- and post-procedure care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the performance of all EP invasive and interventional procedures, including EPS, ablation, PM, ICD, lead extraction, and loop recorder procedures.
  • Operate X-ray and digital equipment, ensuring accurate and precise imaging for diagnostic purposes.
  • Maintain the quality and safety of the work environment, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide pre- and post-op care to patients, including preparation, monitoring, and recovery.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1 year of experience as an EP Tech or related field; 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required within 12 months of hire.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • RCIS or RCES certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited Electrophysiology Program or Cardiovascular Program.
  • 2 years of experience as an EP Tech or related field.
Working Conditions

This position requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods. The ability to work in a dynamic environment with frequent interruptions is essential.
