Job Title: Assistant Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Potomac Family Dining Group. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing restaurant operations, and leading a team of Team Leads and Team Members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing restaurant operations, including inventory management, product preparation, and presentation.
  • Lead a team of Team Leads and Team Members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and restaurant performance.
  • Manage daily and weekly reports, including sales, labor, and inventory data.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve restaurant performance, including customer service, sales, and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to achieve business objectives and goals.

Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 1-2 years of guest service experience.
  • 1-2 years of prior supervisory experience, preferably in a casual dining setting.
  • Positive attitude and ability to handle difficult guest interactions.
  • 21+ years old.
  • ServSafe Alcohol and Food Certification a plus.
  • Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills in English required.
  • Bi-lingual experience a plus.
  • Ability to pass company background check.
  • Reliable transportation and government-issued driver's license required.
  • Ability to work 40-hour work weeks and flexible schedule consisting of mornings, mid-day shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

  • Mobility required during the entire shift.
  • Ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length.
  • Must have a good sense of balance, be able to reach, bend, stoop, and kneel, and frequently lift as much as 50 pounds, several times over.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees.

Working Conditions: Subject to wet floors, loud noises, fast-paced, and outdoor conditions.
