The MRI Team:
Our MRI Technologists play a vital role in upholding the integrity of our organization through their dedication to excellence. They are responsible for creating a professional and compassionate environment for all patients while managing a dynamic and fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Adhere to established policies and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Clearly communicate all aspects of the examination to patients in an understandable manner.
• Verify that patients are free from contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position patients and ensure their comfort throughout the procedure.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with patients during the imaging process.
• Conduct scans in accordance with established protocols.
• Administer intravenous contrast as required.
• Complete all necessary documentation related to the patient's examination.
• Record patient data accurately in the Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide films/CDs to patients when appropriate.
• Forward imaging data and/or films/CDs to the Radiologist upon completion of the exam.
• Assist clerical staff as needed.
• Clean and restock equipment and rooms as necessary.
• Comply with all training and licensing requirements as per credentialing policies.
Qualifications:
This position requires prior experience in MRI scanning. Essential qualifications include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications and excellent interpersonal skills. Additionally, candidates should be able to:
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.
• Assist patients with mobility challenges.
• Participate in a call schedule/rotation if required at certain locations.
• Lift, push, and pull a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
• Meet the physical requirements with or without accommodation.
