Position Overview

We are currently seeking a qualified Tax Senior Associate to enhance our team at Searchlogic Recruiting, LLC. This role is ideal for a professional with a solid background in public accounting, particularly in taxation across diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate tax returns prepared by junior staff members.
  • Conduct supervised technical research to address complex tax scenarios and recommend viable solutions.
  • Prepare intricate corporate, partnership, S-corporation, and individual tax returns, along with any additional returns as needed.
  • Handle trust returns and amended tax filings.
  • Assist the tax team in addressing tax notices, ensuring technical accuracy in correspondence.
  • Initiate and oversee S-elections and requests for necessary accounting modifications.
  • Review tax working papers as required.
  • Serve as a resource for tax and accounting personnel regarding inquiries related to taxation.
  • Act as the primary client liaison for engagements, fostering entrepreneurial skills.
  • Enhance client relationships through professional and social interactions with management.
  • Gain knowledge of the firm's service offerings to present to clients appropriately.
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity by proactively managing assignments and executing them effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with managers and partners by keeping them updated on project progress and adapting to different management styles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA certification obtained or in progress.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in public accounting taxation.
  • Experience with clients in sectors such as manufacturing, professional services, real estate, non-profit organizations, and high-net-worth individuals.
