Overview:
Ensure the facility is maintained to provide a safe and clean environment for guests, staff, and vendors.
Responsibilities:
1. Replenish linen closets with necessary amenities and supplies for housekeeping staff; may involve delivering supplies directly to room attendants.
2. Remove soiled linens and trash from room attendant carts.
3. Clean and remove stains from corridor walls and doors; polish mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator doors.
4. Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and lobbies.
5. Flip mattresses and rearrange furniture as directed by the supervisor.
6. Adhere to attendance policies and be available for regular shifts.
7. Perform any other job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a hotel setting is preferred.
A self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests.
Willingness to assist colleagues with their responsibilities and be a team player.
Physical ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodations. Lifting may involve items weighing up to 100 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
Ability to understand and follow instructions from supervisors.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to various audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
