Fabrication Welder

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Welder to join our team at ProEnergy Services. As a Fabrication Welder, you will be responsible for using MIG welders and flame-cutting equipment to build power plant components according to layouts, work orders, or blueprints.
Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret layouts, blueprints, diagrams, or work orders to prepare for welding or cutting metal components.
- Position work pieces and clamps together or assemble in jigs or fixtures.
- Operate MIG welders and flame-cutting equipment to weld, melt, cut, or trim metal components.
- Inspect finished work pieces for conformance to specifications.
- High school diploma/GED and/or 2 years of experience with basic GMAW (gas metal arc welding), FCAW (flux cored arc welding).
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
- Candidate must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) knowledge.
- Ability to operate forklift safely.
- Knowledge of amperage, wire speed, and consumable replacement from liners, gas tips, and wire spool replacement on all specified types of welding.
