Progressive Care Unit – Registered Nurse
We are currently seeking skilled Registered Nurse (RN) professionals to join our team for full-time, 13-week contract roles within various Progressive Care units (PCU). Opportunities are available for both Day and Night shifts. Candidates should possess 1-3 years of recent experience in Progressive Care (PCU), tailored to the specific unit. Compensation ranges from $46 to $57 per hour.

Responsibilities of the Progressive Care Unit – RN
- Deliver specialized nursing care to patients with intricate medical conditions, ensuring close monitoring and intermediate-level support.
- Conduct thorough assessments on patients. Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and other physiological indicators to detect changes or irregularities. Evaluate health status and alert the provider when necessary.
- Develop, manage, and oversee the patient's care plan based on individual needs, medical conditions, and treatment objectives.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to improve patient outcomes and goals.
- Educate patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, treatment strategies, and self-care practices, including medication management, dietary guidelines, and symptom management techniques. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families as they navigate the challenges of illness, hospitalization, and recovery.
- Accurately document all patient care, assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records in a timely manner.
Requirements of the Progressive Care Unit – RN
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana
- 1-3 years of relevant and recent experience, as specified by the facility
- Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team
- Willingness to float between units as needed
- Capacity to maintain composure under pressure
- Proficient in taking vital signs and administering medications appropriately
- Current BLS certification, physical examination, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by the facility
