We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist/Educational Diagnostician to join our team at BlazerJobs. This is a full-time contract position for the 2024-2025 school year.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs. They will develop and implement individualized intervention plans and strategies for students with diverse needs. Additionally, they will provide counseling and support to students dealing with emotional, social, or behavioral issues.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in School Psychology or Education and hold an active School Psychologist Certificate or ARD Facilitator. They should also be proficient in conducting file reviews, assessments, and writing reports. Participation in IEP meetings and collaborating with teachers, parents, and other staff to develop and implement strategies to support student learning and development is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological assessments to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans and strategies for students with diverse needs
  • Provide counseling and support to students dealing with emotional, social, or behavioral issues
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to develop and implement strategies to support students learning and development
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and provide emergency support as needed
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on topics related to mental health and student well-being
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress
  • Stay current with best practices and research in school psychology and contribute to the development of school policies and programs
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A Master's Degree in School Psychology or Education
  • An active School Psychologist Certificate or ARD Facilitator
  • Proficiency in conducting file reviews, assessments, and writing reports
  • Experience working with students, teachers, and parents in a school setting
