Pactiv Evergreen - North America is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of our equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all equipment and machinery, including preventative and planned maintenance.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize electrical and mechanical prints, drawings, and schematics to aid in maintenance service instructions and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Process Improvement: Assist in the creation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and/or Maintenance Procedures (SOPs) to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Equipment Diagnostics: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair/maintain all extrusion, thermoforming, and auxiliary equipment used in the FOAM, MFPP, and EPS processes.
- Documentation: Complete papers on schedule and with accuracy, ensuring all maintenance activities are properly documented.
- Equipment Upgrades: Evaluate equipment and make necessary upgrades to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Work Environment: Maintain a sanitary and secure work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Tool Operation: Utilize tools and programs to fulfill work assignments, including AC/DC drives, high and low voltage controls, and systems operating at 110, 220, and 480 volts.
- Essential Skills: Pneumatics, blueprint/schematic reading (mechanical/electrical), welding, shop equipment operation, and fabrication understanding are all essential skills for this role.
- Education and Experience: A two-year mechanical degree or four years of industrial maintenance experience are required. Welding experience, measurement instrument interpretation skills, and a working knowledge of pneumatics and vacuum systems are also necessary.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of AC and DC drives, PLCs, servo motors, and encoders is required. The ability to operate a forklift is also a plus.

- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC): Experience with programmable logic controllers is required.
