Job Summary:

The Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for facilitating competency in speech and language skills in communicatively disordered students. This position requires a Master's degree or higher with a major emphasis in speech-language pathology, audiology, or speech-language hearing science. The ideal candidate will have or be eligible for an Alaska Type C special services certificate with an applicable endorsement for speech/language. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to travel to various schools and offices within the Fairbanks North Star Borough.

Responsibilities:

The Speech and Language Pathologist will be responsible for assessing and developing individualized plans to improve speech and language skills in students. This will involve working with students, teachers, and other support staff to implement strategies and interventions to support student success. The Speech and Language Pathologist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and communicating with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or higher in speech-language pathology, audiology, or speech-language hearing science. They will also have or be eligible for an Alaska Type C special services certificate with an applicable endorsement for speech/language. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to travel to various schools and offices within the Fairbanks North Star Borough. While driving on district business, the candidate must hold a valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and registration.
