We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at Children's Hospital Colorado. As a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients in our critical care units.
Responsibilities:- Design and lead pharmaceutical outcomes research
- Identify opportunities for and participate in drug utilization reviews and research
- Participate in the education of pharmacy staff, nursing staff, medical staff, pharmacy residents and students, other healthcare allied professionals and patients and families
- Provide drug information services by responding to questions regarding medication compatibilities, adverse drug events, regimens, dosing, interactions, storage and disposal, compounding, therapeutic uses of medications and pharmaceutical supplies in a timely manner
- Sustain and implement quality and safety initiatives and practices in the department and throughout the hospital
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree
- Two (2) years of residency experience or one (1) year of residency plus three (3) years of work experience
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Certification required within 3 years of start date in position
- State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Pharmacy license
