Overview
The Program Manager is a key role at Piston Automotive, responsible for facilitating all program deliverables as defined in the Piston Gate Review process. This includes supporting APQP requirements from prototype through SOP (Start of Production). The successful candidate will maintain and report internal program health status, act as the single point of contact with the cross-functional Piston Launch Team, and track status to customer deliverables via ratings defined in the Piston Gate Review and APQP process.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customer required capacity planning activities
- Support Piston Account Management for communications with customer Purchasing
- Support Piston Plant Team on engineering change implementation
- Support Piston Packaging Team as required for customer and supplier packaging information
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Program Manager or a related role
- Minimum 5 years of customer interface experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience completing APQP/PPAPs
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing launch programs
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with cross-functional teams
- Intermediate level experience with MS Word, Excel, and Project
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the automotive industry preferred
- Familiarity with OEM systems/processes
- Covisint desired but not required
