Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical direction and leadership for complex systems engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting technical requirements.
- Develop and implement system development, improvement, and optimization strategies, leveraging expertise in engineering, technical, and managerial disciplines.
- Perform risk assessments and analysis using modeling and simulation techniques, ensuring the highest level of system reliability and performance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
- 5-12 years of relevant work experience in systems engineering, with a strong background in technical direction and leadership.
- Familiarity with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures, with the ability to apply extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to lead and direct the work of others, with a strong focus on team collaboration and communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field, with a strong emphasis on advanced technical knowledge and leadership skills.
- Experience working with complex systems, such as F-16, A-10, or T-38, with a strong understanding of system development, improvement, and optimization strategies.
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain higher clearance levels as required.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the workday, with occasional movement to access files, office machinery, or to communicate with colleagues and management.
The projected compensation range for this position is $84,900-$141,100, with differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including contract wage determination, relevant work experience, skills, and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
