High Voltage Manager Job Description

MN8 Energy is a leading independent solar energy and energy storage owner-operator in the U.S., serving enterprise customers with clean energy solutions. As the High Voltage Manager, you will lead and manage all aspects of high-voltage systems across our solar PV projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive high-voltage safety programs
  • Oversee high-voltage system design, integration, and commissioning
  • Ensure strict adherence to electrical codes, standards, and regulations
  • Manage relationships with vendors and contractors specializing in high-voltage equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of high-voltage systems
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans
  • Analyze data and identify opportunities for system optimization
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation
  • Lead and mentor a team of high-voltage technicians
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the solar industry or a related field, with a strong understanding of high-voltage systems (MV/HV)
  • Proven track record of managing and leading teams in a fast-paced environment
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NFPA 70E, NFPA 70, etc.)
  • Experience with high-voltage equipment selection, procurement, and installation
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive safety mindset and commitment to a zero-incident culture
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred)
