Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler - Receiving to join our team at ITW Permatex. As a Material Handler - Receiving, you will be responsible for receiving and processing incoming materials, supplies, and equipment. This is a critical role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming materials, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to production areas.
  • Verify inventory levels and update records as necessary, maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to company safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies, resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventories as required, maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or material handling environment, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods, with frequent bending and stooping.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately count and record inventory levels.
