About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist role. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures on a limited basis for ambulatory patients in a Physician Office and Clinic Settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures in areas such as skull, chest, spine, extremities, chiropractic, podiatry, and cardiovascular, under the supervision of a Radiologist/Clinician.
  • Prepare Patients for Procedures: Position patients, adjust immobilization devices, move equipment into specified positions, and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  • Minimize Radiation Exposure: Practice radiation protection techniques, use beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
  • Document Patient Information: Document pregnancy status of female patients of youth-bearing age and the shielding precautions taken in the performance of the imaging study.
  • Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Perform quality checks on radiology equipment, troubleshoot issues, and maintain radiology supplies inventory.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology.
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of experience in radiologic technology.
  • Certification/License/Registration: Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) license from the State of Texas Medical Board, with specialties in Chest, Extremities, Skull, and Spine.
