At New York Imaging Service, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care through our team of highly skilled professionals. As a Registered Nurse - IR, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate, timely results that drive better outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create individualized care plans for patients under your supervision and care.
• Recognize and treat cancer-related issues.
• Monitor and chart vital signs, weight, and height.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.
• Conduct cancer research to enhance treatment protocols assigned to cancer patients.
• Provide supportive resources to patients and their families to promote a positive outlook.
• Teach patients and their families regarding treatment expectations.
• Record patient progress on a constant basis.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Chart patient responses to treatment and medication.
• Provide patients with discharge instructions, including emergency contact information.
Requirements:
• Valid RN License in the State of New York.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing a plus.
• 2 years minimum experience as an RN.
• 2+ years working as a procedural nurse in Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Cath Lab helpful.
• 2+ years of critical care experience helpful.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Good computer knowledge.
• Infection Control Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
What We Offer:
• Salary up to $52 per hour.
• Daytime hours - Monday - Friday.
