Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, GA. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients referred by a licensed physician in accordance with the Practice Act for the State of Georgia and the Guidelines for Professional Conduct of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients referred by a licensed physician
  • Actively supervise and participate in the care of patients treated by Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants and Athletic Trainers
  • Comply with hospital policies and support the mission and values of the hospital
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: The Physical Therapist must be duly licensed by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy
  • Education: The Physical Therapist must be a graduate of an APTA or other accredited school of Physical Therapy
  • Experience: Physical Therapists should have as a minimum, broad experience in a variety of different clinical settings through their APTA or other accredited clinical internship programs
  • Special Qualifications: Must have a working knowledge of the principles and practices of Physical Therapy, including evaluation, treatment planning, modality applications, and all manner of therapeutic exercise and patient mobility treatments
