Position Overview

Are you interested in a role that involves working with advanced semiconductor manufacturing machinery? In this position, you will deliver on-site assistance for the installation, repair, and upkeep of semiconductor systems. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are well-prepared for your responsibilities.

This role necessitates a full-time commitment at designated work locations.

Your Responsibilities
  • Ensure that equipment operates within factory-defined standards.
  • Guide clients on the proper use and maintenance of the equipment.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients regarding assigned projects, including installations and significant component replacements.
  • Conduct intricate repairs and maintenance independently or collaboratively, adhering to factory protocols.
  • Offer technical assistance to clients, addressing inquiries about operational procedures, equipment issues, and other technical challenges to minimize downtime and foster positive client relationships.
  • Identify and communicate equipment errors and performance issues to facilitate troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Maintain precise records of activities and generate regular reports.
  • Provide training to client personnel to ensure they are proficient in service and operations.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians in the field to diagnose and service equipment.
Qualifications and Skills

This is a client-facing position that requires adherence to customer policies, which may include health and safety protocols.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience is required, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with the Linux operating system is advantageous for troubleshooting and operating the systems.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, is essential.
  • Practical mechanical skills are necessary.
  • Experience with electronic testing instruments is required.
  • Ability to work independently on equipment while also being a collaborative team player in challenging environments.
  • Additional knowledge in optics, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanics, or chemistry is beneficial.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
  • Experience in customer support is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to flexible work schedules is necessary.
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment for extended periods, including wearing protective gear.
  • Domestic travel may be required, necessitating a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • This position involves continuous physical activity, including standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motions, and lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted. Lifting over 25 pounds will require assistance. Prolonged computer use may be necessary, and effective communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements is expected.
  • Domestic and international travel may be part of the role.
