Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Preventative Maintenance: Ensure that equipment is on the preventative maintenance program, schedules are valid, thorough, and completed according to the system schedule.
- Standards and Policies: Establish standards and policies for installation, modification, testing, operating procedures, inspection, and maintenance of equipment according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
- Industrial Automation: Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and other forms of industrial automation.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Plan, coordinate, and schedule all predictive and preventative maintenance programs for structures, utilities, and equipment.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to other departments regarding process and/or equipment changes.
- Electrical and Mechanical Work: Install wiring circuits, switches, controls, and other electronic devices in accordance with specifications.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and make necessary repairs in a timely fashion to reduce downtime.
- Inventory Management: Manage spare parts, material, and inventories.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas where operations can be improved and made more efficient, and carry out solutions to repair or upgrade equipment for improved operations.
- Purchase Orders: Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
- Safety Procedures: Practice lock out/tag out safety procedures and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and guidelines.
- Job Skills Requirements: Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Knowledge of Electromechanical Codes: Strong knowledge of electromechanical codes, standards, and safety practices.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to the highest quality workmanship.
- Physical Stamina: Physical stamina to work in various positions for extended periods.
- Advanced Knowledge: Advance knowledge of pneumatic, wiring, and hydraulic systems.
- Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Experience Requirements: 5 to 10 years professional maintenance experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Physical and Environmental Requirements: Some physical demand, including lifting light to heavy-weight material, and ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and/or reaching over a full work shift.
