Photovoltaic Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Adherence:
  • Recognizes potential safety risks and follows established protocols for personal safety, the safety of colleagues, and public welfare.
• Technical Skills:
  • Interprets technical manuals, schematics, and system diagrams.
  • Utilizes expertise in daily operations under the guidance of the Senior Electrician.
• Record Keeping:
  • Keeps precise written and digital documentation (such as service orders, calibration logs, time sheets, and material requisitions) that tracks work progress.
• Equipment Upkeep:
  • Conducts repairs, testing, troubleshooting, inspections, installations, removals, and maintenance of solar facility equipment (including solar modules, inverters, transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, and SCADA systems).
• Mentorship and Training:
  • Instructs and mentors apprentice electricians and team members on safe tool operation and maintenance practices.
• Other Duties:
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial or industrial solar electrical maintenance, including repair, inspection, testing, installation, and/or upkeep of related electrical equipment.
• Mechanical skills are advantageous.
• Possession of a valid Journeyman's Electrical License in the state of California or a current C-10 license.
• Must have a valid US driver's license.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
