We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team at Duly Health and Care. As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of complex diagnostic MRI procedures, working closely with radiologists to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Diagnostic MRI Procedures: Conduct routine MRIs and MRAs, taking accurate verbal patient histories and starting I.V.s to administer IV contrast.
- Maintain a Positive Imaging Environment: Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, acting as a patient liaison to the radiologist.
- Quality Assurance and Safety: Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and procedure areas, ensuring proper MRI safety standards are met and all ferromagnetic materials are located outside of the scan room.
- Operate MRI Equipment: Operate required equipment necessary to produce scans using established guidelines and MRI protocols.
- Protocolling and Documentation: Complete necessary protocolling tasks, including verifying patient information and completing MRI screening forms.
- IV Access and Contrast Administration: Start IV access according to standard procedure and inject media under the direction of a physician, selecting the correct IV site and catheter or needle according to exam protocol.
- Education and Certification: Graduate of an accredited education program in MRI and ARRT Registered Technologist, RT(MR) or ARMRIT Certified Technologist.
- Experience: Minimum of one year MRI imaging experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to stand for prolonged periods, frequently bend/stoop, reach (overhead, extensive, repetitive), and manipulate MRI coils/table and accessory equipment. Adequate eyesight to observe patient condition, read MRI computer screen/imaging equipment, and evaluate MRI images for appropriate image quality.
