Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipment Coordination: Assist in coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely delivery of goods. Prepare shipping documents, labels, and invoices.
  • Communication: Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and customers to track shipments, resolve issues, and provide updates on delivery status. Maintain good relationships with logistics partners.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistics transactions, including shipping documents, delivery notes, and inventory reports. Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Warehouse Support: Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse, including labeling, sorting, and ensuring the proper storage of goods.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all logistics activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Assist in preparing for inspections and audits.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the logistics process. Escalate complex problems to the Logistics Manager as needed.
  • Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager to support the department's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Ability to learn quickly with a desire to continue learning
  • Strong work ethic
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills to be used when working with Kimbel employees and customers
  • Having a general knowledge of plumbing parts is helpful
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
