Machinist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our dynamic engineering team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machining equipment, including 5 Axis, CNC Conventional, and G Code.

• Operate and maintain a variety of machining equipment, including 5 Axis, CNC Conventional, and G Code.
• Accurately read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to produce parts to specification.
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure the accuracy of the finished product.
• Set up and operate lathe and mill machines to produce or repair parts.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal operation.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Continually seek ways to improve processes and techniques for efficiency and quality.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a machinist in the engineering industry.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining 5 Axis, CNC Conventional, and G Code machines.
• Hands-on experience with lathe and mill machines.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to adhering to all company policies and safety standards.
• A certificate or degree in a relevant field would be an added advantage.
