Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at Allina Health. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing abdominal, small parts, OB/GYN, and vascular imaging procedures, as well as providing sonography guidance for interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines
  • Identifies patients with two identifiers and documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure
  • Observes and communicates with patients, responding to their needs and maintaining a safe patient environment in the procedure area
  • Performs procedures with a high degree of accuracy and demonstrates appropriate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment
  • Gathers all relevant information to assist in the interpretation of images and verifies that all images have been appropriately transferred to the imaging storage and retrieval system
  • Provides accurate clerical functions and uses Excellian (electronic medical record) to ensure all documentation is complete post-procedure
  • Communicates with supervisors and team members, reporting problems, issues, or ideas and providing assistance, ideas, and information to support the work of others
Requirements
  • Associate's or vocational degree from an accredited school of diagnostic ultrasound or radiologic technology
  • 2 years of diagnostic sonography experience
  • Certified Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS) registered in abdomen, OB/GYN, or vascular technology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
