We are currently looking for a Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer to lead project initiatives, ensure quality assurance and control, provide technical guidance, and foster staff growth within our Engineering division's water market team. This team encompasses areas such as potable water, wastewater, stormwater, and recycled water.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee technical elements of projects featuring complex attributes specific to the water sector, including pumping, conveyance, and storage systems.
  • Coordinate and schedule the preparation of contract deliverables, which include front-end documents, construction drawings, and technical specifications for multiple significant projects.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the water market engineering team at Harris, our clients, and the communities we serve.
  • Act as an internal and external subject matter expert.
  • Assist in crafting specific technical sections or strategic approaches for proposals related to new projects.
  • Utilize sound technical judgment in executing responsibilities and know when to seek assistance or conduct independent research.
  • Stay informed about local agency regulations, procedures, and design standards.
  • Effectively communicate with peers and clients through both written and verbal means.
  • Conduct research and prepare reports related to project assignments.
  • Deliver presentations at client or internal meetings.
  • Provide training and mentorship to staff members.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • A Master's degree in civil engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) License in California and other relevant states is required.
  • A minimum of 15 years of pertinent experience in engineering within the water sector or a similar field.
  • Experience in establishing and adhering to budgets, schedules, work plans, and contract performance standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary for preparing project documentation and correspondence, interacting effectively with team members, engaging with clients, and delivering presentations.
  • Technical skills suitable for the types of projects assigned.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $180,000 and $220,000, contingent upon the experience and expertise of the selected candidate. We offer competitive salaries and benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
