Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Telemetry Unit

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Telemetry Unit at ChristianaCare. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical conditions, including COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, opioid withdrawal, nausea/vomiting/abdominal pain, altered mental status, osteomyelitis, back pain, diabetes management, and cellulitis.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, including ordering and administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Delaware or a compact state.
  • BSN or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire date.
  • At least one year of experience as an RN in an inpatient acute care setting.
  • RN with experience in medical telemetry preferred.
  • BLS required.
