Watson Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth recovery process for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for surgery by reviewing medical history, medications, and allergies.
- Assess patients' condition upon admission and discharge, and document all relevant information in the PACU records.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, EKG, and document their progress while in the PACU.
- Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and maintain accurate records of dispensing.
- Provide respiratory assistance or support, including the use of AMBU bags, airways, and endotracheal tubes, as needed.
- Assist physicians with sterile and non-sterile dressing changes and other procedures as requested.
- Ensure patients are not left alone in the Recovery Areas and provide a summary of post-op instructions before discharge.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the pre-op/Recovery areas.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Nursing.
- Active Florida RN license.
- Minimum of one year experience in PACU, Critical Care, or Endoscopy.
- Current CPR and ACLS certification.
