About the Role

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to pediatric patients in the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical experience.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Assist with surgical procedures, including preparing and maintaining the operating room environment, handling surgical instruments, and providing patient positioning and support.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including preparing patients for surgery and assisting with recovery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including surgical logs and patient information.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a Surgical Technology Program
  • Certification through NBSTSA or NCCT prior to start of employment
  • Current BLS certification recognized by AHA required prior to employment
