Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to assist in the planning and administration of various occupational therapy programs. As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to provide high-quality patient care and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of occupational therapy programs for patients with various physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement treatment plans under the supervision of occupational therapists, including exercises, activities, and interventions to promote patient independence and functional ability.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on occupational therapy techniques, strategies, and resources to promote independence and self-care.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or a related field preferred.
  • Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association-approved curriculum.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
