Career Opportunities

As a Medical Assistant at POD Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our team of nurses and nurse practitioners in delivering exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include remotely monitoring patients' vital signs through dashboards, accurately documenting patient information, assisting with patient inquiries, managing medical records, and ensuring compliance with our RPM program and healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vital Sign Monitoring: Collaborate with our nursing team to monitor patients' vital signs remotely through dashboards for our remote monitoring program.
  • Patient Communication: Address alerts on the dashboard and promptly communicate with patients as needed, conveying empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Data Entry: Maintain and update patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Patient Support: Manage incoming calls from patients, providing compassionate support, answering inquiries, and offering assistance when necessary.
  • Scheduling: Schedule virtual patient appointments with Nurse Practitioners, coordinating with patients and the healthcare team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and uphold our organization's code of conduct.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Chinese
  • No Medical Assistant Certification required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in using EMR systems, experience in AdvancedMD a plus
  • Strong grasp of patient care procedures and medical terminology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Strong organizational skills to manage patient records and appointment scheduling
  • Exceptional customer service skills to provide empathetic and supportive patient interactions

Affordable Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
