Role Summary:
This position emphasizes the delivery of both professional and supportive nursing care services in alignment with physician directives. The Clinical Nurse will:
- Evaluate, plan, implement, and assess the care requirements of a specific patient group.
- Provide nursing care and execute clinical support tasks within the defined scope of practice to achieve the patient's care objectives.
- Deliver professional nursing services to patients, necessitating a valid nursing license.

- Conduct nursing activities that foster a compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic atmosphere for patients and staff, aiming to enhance comfort and healing while preventing unnecessary distress.
- Demonstrate respect for patient and family dignity and privacy in all interactions.
- Assess and identify anticipated patient outcomes based on diagnoses, data, and patient concerns.
- Engage with patients and families, acknowledging their knowledge and encouraging their involvement in care.
- Develop and implement personalized, outcomes-based care plans that consider the readiness and barriers to learning of patients and families.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and treatments tailored to specific diagnoses or issues.
- Document all aspects of care in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards, including treatments performed and patient responses.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of planned strategies concerning patient responses and the achievement of expected outcomes.
- Coordinate comprehensive discharge plans utilizing appropriate resources and referrals to ensure smooth transitions for patients and their families.
- Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, and process enhancement initiatives to support and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Massachusetts RN Licensure.
- Two years of clinical nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Three years of clinical nursing experience.
- Relevant certifications specific to the department and patient care type.
