Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Donation Attendant to join our team at the Hampstead Store in Maryland. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, promoting sales, and ensuring the efficient processing of donations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to donors, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Accurately label and process donations, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency in the production room.
  • Offer receipts to donors and provide information on the donation process.
  • Identify and handle hazardous materials, ensuring safe disposal and compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with loading and unloading donations, furniture, and other items to and from vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to company standards and best practices.
  • Operate pallet jacks and walkie stackers safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections on company equipment and report any issues or concerns.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including cross-training in other store positions.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with donors and colleagues.
  • Ability to pass a forklift certification class and operate equipment safely.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a retail or customer-facing role preferred.
