Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing mammography, stereo biopsies, and bone density examinations with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain Technologist and Radiologist credentials and continuing education to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee daily quality control and workflow to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services, meeting or exceeding all applicable regulatory licensure and accrediting regulations.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze performance improvement outcomes to enhance departmental services consistent with Hospital and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform mammography, stereo biopsies, and bone density examinations in accordance with professional protocols.
  • Ensure the department is prepared for yearly state inspections, ACR accreditation, and MQSA compliance.
  • Manage supplies and maintain equipment in good operating condition.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist program and 450 hours of training in Mammography, including 200 patient exams.
  • Valid Massachusetts license in Radiology and Mammography from the Department of Public Health.
  • Primary and advanced registration through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Minimum three years of experience as a Radiology Technologist and one year as a Mammography Technologist.
